Garden Gnome Pattern
Garden Gnome Pattern
This crochet pattern is for an adorable little Garden Gnome.
An original pattern by Fat Lady Crochet. Please note: this is a crochet pattern, not the finished physical item. If you purchase this thinking you’re getting a real gnome, I can’t help you, but I do admire your optimism.
This easy (but not beginner) crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters who know their way around a hook, can count past ten without using their fingers, and don’t mind a bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to guide you along the way, because I like to set you up for success, not suffering.
You will need:
- 50 grams each of size 4 worsted weight yarn in Beige, Blue, Light Peach, Green
- 25 grams each of size 4 worsted weight yarn in Brown, White
- Scrap amount of size 4 worsted weight yarn in Black, Pink
- Crochet hook size G (4.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle (aka your tiny weapon against loose ends)
- Fiber Fill (so your gnome isn’t just a sad pile of yarn)
- Stitch marker (unless you enjoy living dangerously)
Notes:
- The gnome’s legs, body, head, and hat are worked in one piece (because I’m nice like that).
- The gnome is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up.
- The gnome’s arms and beard are worked separately and sewn on (it builds character, I promise).
- The finished gnome stands roughly 6 inches tall, making him the perfect tiny guardian for your shelves, plants, or weirdly judgmental office desk.
Thank you for supporting my small, Canadian, woman-owned business. Please do sell lots of your finished gnomes, but credit @fat.lady.crochet on Instagram and Fat Lady Crochet on Facebook. You do not have permission to sell, publish, or reproduce this pattern anywhere—if you do, my gnome army will find you.
This is an instant PDF download, NOT the finished crochet piece. Once payment has been received, you will be able to download this pattern. If you have trouble downloading, please message me. Sorry, no returns, refunds, or exchanges on PDF downloads.
Now go forth and make some tiny gnomes!
