The Love Bug Gets an Update: Bigger, Puffier, and Giving Back
Trish HoskinShare

Some creations just never feel “finished” and for me, that was the Love Bug (along with each and every frog I do... some day I will create the perfect frog design). Every year, I’d look at it and think, “It could be better. I could make it more charming, more huggable, more… something.” I just didn't know how and for the last few years in January I've been stitching new love bugs to get ready for Valentine's but I haven't ever hit the mark. Until this year!
Here are the updates:
-
Black stripes for more definition

- Double hearts for the wings, making them puffier and plushier
- Bigger eyes
It’s amazing how little tweaks can make such a big difference. Annnnnnd the new Love Bug pattern comes in two versions: the original you know and love, and a freshly updated version.
Even better, this pattern is part of our Giving Collection, which means 100% of the proceeds of each sale goes to support charity. So far, the Love Bug has already raised over $100! This quarter, we’re supporting the Lethbridge Food Bank, and I would love to see us hit $1,000 in donations. That would be very awesome.
Whether you’re gifting your Love Bug or keeping it for yourself, each one comes with a little extra heart, knowing it’s helping people in need.
